During my time as a Senior 3D Artist at 3D Cloud I was tasked with 3D modeling, CAD conversions, and runtime optimization for the commercial furniture manufacturer KI. My primary focus was transforming complex manufacturing CAD data into high-fidelity assets optimized for a seamless real-time WebGL application. My role centered on high-efficiency asset production and asset remediation, ensuring all 3D components matched real-world design specifications while maintaining strict performance budgets through polygon count reduction workflows.
My core contributions for this project were CAD to 3D Asset Conversion.
Handling the ingestion, translation, and reconstruction of raw client CAD files into clean, production-ready assets.
Hard Surface & Detail Modeling including custom sculpting the high-density sensory dots across all Cogni meshes per explicit client request.
Executing aggressive mesh optimization and retopology to secure optimal real-time performance; such as managing the complex sensory dot details on the Cogni meshes while maintaining high fidelity and strictly staying under our 60k triangle budget.
Audited, fixed, and remodeled incorrect studio assets to meet exact brand specifications.
Processed final light bakes to ensure realistic surface depth in the browser.

I worked on every live 3D KI configurator currently active on their platform as well as most configs slated to go live in the next 6-12 months.
Threw a few quick renders together for some assets I enjoyed working with as well as a couple screen recordings of a few of the configurators we created!
